国際基準の人工芝サッカー場
令和４年４月、飯岡地区に人工芝のサッカー場が整備されました。フィールドの広さは国際基準に対応した６８ｍ×１０５ｍ。サッカーやフットサルはもちろん、ヨガや野外レクリエーションなど、さまざまな使い方ができます。
The stadiumʼs artificial-turf football field meets international standards
In April 2022, an artificial-turf football field was established in the Iioka District. The field measures 68 m×105 m, corresponding to international standards. It can be used for various activities—not only football and futsal, but also yoga and other types of outdoor recreation.

再資源化と発電で循環型社会を
令和３年４月に旭市・銚子市・匝瑳市の３市共同で、建設された新しいごみ処理施設。１、７００～１、８００℃という高温で焼却することで最終処分場へ送る主灰などは減少。スラグやメタルへの再資源化や、発電・売電などの取り組みも行っています。
Creating a sound material-cycle society through recycling and power generation
The Center is a new waste disposal plant that was built in April 2021 by the cities of Asahi, Choshi, and Sosa. Incineration at high temperatures (1700 to 1800℃ reduces the amounts of main ash that need to be sent to final disposal sites. We promote recycling of wastes into slag and metal, as well as power generation and sale.

当センターで資源化されたスラグはアスファルトの混ぜ物に、メタルは重機を支える重りなどに再利用されています。「混ぜればごみ、分ければ資源」。皆さんもごみの分別にご協力ください。施設見学の予約も受け付けています。

旭市図書館は令和３年７月に県立東部図書館内に移転し、新たなスタートを切りました。蔵書数はおよそ１０万冊。暮らしに役立つ実用書や、児童書などが多くそろっています。
Who isnʼt excited to browse a huge range of interesting books!
The City Library was transferred to the building of Chiba Prefectural East Library in July 2021, making a fresh start. The library has a collection of about 100,000 books. Its extensive lineup covers everything from books on practical skills to childrenʼs books.
